Free image proofing service
Feel free to upload your photos or images for expert advice and image proofing. After uploading your photos you will be given a receipt and image proofing number by email. A team member will reply within 4 hours showing images of your photos on canvas for approval. Afterwards you're welcome to purchase your canvas print online or by phone and use our image proofing reference to confirm your order.

Photo editing
Our designers evaluate your image then balance and enhance the color, then adjust the sharpness and contrast levels accordingly.
We repair minor imperfections and optimize for canvas prints.

Photo Retouching
If your favorite photo is less than perfect, ask us to retouch it for you. Just select the retouching level then, in the comments, tell us what you’d like retouched. If you’re not sure which level to choose use your best judgment, then in the comments, ask us to give you a call to review before we get started.

B&W and Sepia images
Select this option if you would like your color photo converted to black and white or sepia. Our artists know just what to do to make the canvas print look sharp and rich, as if it was originally photographed that way.

Our black and white canvases are really beautiful. We use a combination of three black inks for a full tonal range. There is never a color cast with our black and white canvases. Please supply your black and white image as grayscale or we will convert our end.

Multi-panel Canvases
This option allows you to take one photo and "Split it" into multiple canvas prints. These multiple panels when viewed together reproduce the entire scene. Available in 3-panels or 4-panels. Upload your image for free image proofing.

Mounting your canvas prints?

Printed Gallery Wrap
The canvas print is wrapped around a 1½” thick wooden stretcher frame. The print continues around the edges of the canvas sides for clean modern look, finished and ready-to-hang.

Coloured Edge Wrap
Your canvas print will be mounted on the face of the canvas and the edges will be produced in Black or White Edges. Alternatively, we can colour pick a suitable tone from your image to use for a more accomplished finish on your wall. Come ready-to-hang and really beautiful and an excellent value for money.

Photos/Images. What do I need to know?

Best file format, resolution and image size
Short answer: 300 dpi jpeg
Long answer: The resolution from most digital cameras works perfectly for our canvas product. If your camera is 5 mega pixel or higher and you've taken the photo at the highest setting you won't have a problem. If you're not sure about any of that, you can check with us by uploading your image for proofing or the file size by right clicking on your image, then, click on properties, where the size will be displayed. Images that are 1meg or higher are great. Images under 1 meg but higher than 500kb are almost always workable, so go ahead and upload those for proofing. Files under 400kb may work if the canvas if not too large and the image is clear, feel free to upload those as well with a note in the comments to contact you if there is an issue with resolution. JPEG or TIF files are both OK. We'll always call you if there is an issue.

Working with traditional prints
Many of our canvases are created from traditional photographic prints (snapshots) and they turn out wonderfully. You can scan your traditional print and upload it for proofing or we can scan it for you. In that case’ please post your “traditional photo” and we’ll send you proofs by email and return your photos too.

A question that frequently arises is “Will I get it back? “ Absolutely. We are obsessive about taking care of our customer’s property.

Scanning tips
You can use a flat bed scanner to scan your image at 600 dpi resolution. Save the file in RGB mode using JPEG format with the highest quality setting and lowest compression. If you have an old photo and don't have a scanner, you can post your photos to us for proofing, which will then be emailed to you for approval and photos returned.

All of our equipment is calibrated to Adobe RGB color space.

Professional Photography and copyrighted images
The Copyright Act protects photographers by giving the author of a photograph the exclusive right to reproduce the photograph. This includes the right to control the making of copies. If your photograph was taken by a professional photographer you may need to obtain a release. Both on our online order form and on our prepaid mailer, you'll be asked to agree to the following statement: "I certify that I own the copyright for this photo(s) or, I am authorized by the owner to make and use a photos to canvas reproduction."

Larger and custom sizes
We can do any size canvas from 12 x 12 to 50 x 72. If ordering a custom size, please select the upload your image for proofing and then in the comments tell us the custom size you’d like.

We review every order before processing. If we think something is amiss, our helpful customer service team will call you to discuss your order.

When it will be dispatched
We usually send your canvas prints within 2-4 business days from receipt of your order and payment. Note: If you need your canvas prints for a special event please call us on 01233 333 258 or email us at info@getcanvas.co.uk. We'll bend over backwards to get it where you need it, when you need it.

Shipping
All items are carefully wrapped in protective foam and packaged to prevent damage during transit then shipped via DHL on a next day delivery service within the uk. Delivery is currently free within the UK and every customer will be notified with tracking details once dispatched.

Ship to someone else
We prompt you for the shipping and billing address. We will not contact the recipient in any way, shape or form so if it is a surprise, your secret is safe with us.
